Russian military invasion to Ukraine and the role of the ecumenical movement

SCM Belarus has prepared a statement to be shared on behalf of the WSCF, and ask for visibility and solidarity actions. They propose that Ukrainians, both displaced and not, be present and empowered in conversation about Russian military invasion. They propose that the WSCF show care for it's Ukranian members including the implementation of safe-space policies, and the accurate language to be used when discussing the war.

WSCF Statement on violence against transgender and non-binary peoples

SCMs Canada, Aotearoa, and the Philippines are asking that a public statement by the WSCF be made denouncing gender-based violence towards the transgender and non-binary global community, and acknowledging that statistics surrounding gender-based violence are grossly underrepresented. They ask that this issue be recognized as a global human rights violation.
Increased inclusion of LGBTQIA+ participants in the WSCF General Assembly

SCM Canada, Aotearoa, and the Philippines propose an adjustment in WSCF practices to be more inclusive of the LGBTQIA+ community. Practices include altered room assignments that respect people's gender identities, a pre-assembly for the LGBTQIA+ WSCF community, and the efforts made towards the use of gender-diverse pronouns including “they/them,” to be incorporated into the language.
A call for justice: Hearing the plead of Palestinian Christians and labeling Israel as an apartheid regime

SCM Palestine is asking the WSCF to officially take on the position that Israel is guilty of committing Apartheid, to raise awareness, including digitally through Social Media, about the issue, and organizing an Olive picking and/or planting visit to Palestine for SCMers from other places. The visit to Palestine would need funding.

The Armenian Church University Students' Association calls on the WSCF to: 1) Update the WSCF statement related to the Armenian Genocide of 1915 by recognising the Republic of Artsakh; 2) Raise awareness about the issue within SCMs; 3) Raise awareness about the issue through social media; and 4) Help Armenian SCMs and societies to be in solidarity with the National Committees of Armenian Cause.

The WSCF resolves to progress further, at a speed appropriate to the regions, on the Identity, Diversity, and Dialogue recommendations of Bogotá. We actively encourage members to improve their understanding of the issues and find ways to seek progress, in order to create safe spaces.
