The WSCF.ch website (the “Website”) is published by the World Student Christian Federation, Ecumenical Centre, with offices at 5 Route des Morillons, CH 1211, Geneva 2, Switzerland (the “WSCF”, or “we”). Please read carefully the following conditions for use before using our Website.

We may revise these conditions for use from time to time (such conditions for use, as they may be revised from time to time, are hereafter referred to as the “Conditions”), with the revised Conditions taking effect for all users as of the date stated on the posting. We collect, where appropriate, name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth, bank details, etc. We collect this information only in connection with specific activities, such as campaigns, feedback, surveys, email newsletter subscriptions, etc. You do not have to disclose any of this information if you do not wish to.

Non-personal information

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google LLC uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer’s hard drive by a web page server. The information generated by the cookies (including your IP address) help us in evaluating your use of our Website and determining how many individuals use our Website, how many people visit on a regular basis, which pages are most popular and which pages are least popular, for instance.

Where will the data be held?

Data submitted through the forms on our Website is held on our servers in Amsterdam, Netherlands managed by GreenGeeks LLC, a third-party company hosting our Website. GreenGeeks, based in the California, USA with multiple data centers in Europe, Canada and the USA implements enhanced reliability and multi-level security, including against data phishing, malware threats and intrusions. Additionally, it adheres to an "environmentally responsible platform" which goes in line with WSCF's Eco-Justice Programme.

The data collected through Google Analytics will be transmitted to and stored by Google, Inc.

Confidentiality

We will not disclose the data you provide us to any third party unless you have specifically given us permission to do so, or unless we believe that such disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process.

Information from under 18s

If you are under 18, be sure to obtain your parent's or guardian's permission before you send any information about yourself (your name, address, e-mail address, etc.) to us or anyone else over the internet. We encourage parents to get involved with their children's usage of the internet and to be aware of the activities in which they are participating.

Subscriptions and memberships

You may at any time unsubscribe to any services, lists or groups you have registered through our Website, or you may contact us to request for a correction or deletion of information.


Donations and Payments

Payment gateways

The WSCF currently uses the PayPal secure payment processing system to handle our online donations and payments because we believe it gives our supporters the best security and convenience. The WSCF may additionally or alternatively use another payment gateway (such as WorldPay) as it may deem see fit in the future.

What does WSCF do with the information collected?

When making a donation by credit card, we need your contact information so that the card can be processed, and we ask for your email address so that we can send you confirmation that it was processed successfully. Providing any other personal information is optional. Your credit card information is held by PayPal, a secure payment processing company, solely for the purpose of processing the donation. This information is not held by the WSCF at any time.

After you have made the donation we may send you updates about our work. However, we do not and will not make telephone appeals for funds. And if at any time you do not wish to hear from us again, you can simply say so. We always provide our full contact details on correspondence so that you can easily get in touch.

Is my contribution eligible for tax relief?

On this website you are making a donation to the WSCF based in Switzerland. Contributions made here may be eligible for tax relief in your country.

Will I receive a receipt for the donation I make to WSCF through this website?

Yes. Once PayPal has accepted your credit card, a receipt is sent to you by email (so please be sure to enter your email address accurately).
