The World Student Christian Federation participated in the “Symposium: Communication for Social Justice in the Digital Age”, a 3-day event that took place from September 13 to 15 by zoom meetings, live stream sessions and in-person meetings in Berlin. The event was organized by the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the World Association for Christian Communication and co-organized by the World Student Christian Federation, Brot für die Welt (Bread for the World), Evangelische Kirche in Deutschland (Evangelical Church in Germany), and Evangelische Mission Weltweit (EMW, Association of Protestant Churches and Missions in Germany).
“Communication for Social Justice in the Digital Age,” an international symposium jointly hosted by WACC and the World Council of Churches (WCC), will offer a chance to explore new visions for digital justice, public space, and actions that will make a difference.
Scheduled September 13-15, the symposium will offer people around the world the opportunity to reflect on key questions and provide input on the issues of Digital Justice, Public Space, and Vision for the Future. A pre-symposium process will invite discussion and contributions from eight regions, which will be compiled by working groups.
The Season of Creation is celebrated annually by tens of thousands of Christians around the world. During the Season of Creation, we pray and act to protect God’s creation.
The Season of Creation is celebrated by Christians across the ecumenical spectrum, and the leaders of many faith traditions have encouraged us to participate.
The season begins on September 1, the Day of Prayer for Creation, and runs through October 4, the Feast of St. Francis, who is the patron saint of ecology in many traditions.
