We are thrilled to invite our Senior Friends and WSCF supporters to join the WSCF Christmas Virtual Event “Affirming WSCF legacy into today’s pathways of Justice,” to be held on December 13th, 2023, at 13 GMT.
The recent WSCF 37th General Assembly (GA) reminded us of the profound impact we can collectively make on the world. In this spirit, the WSCF Christmas Virtual Event has the purpose on one hand to officially introducing and launching among our senior community the new programmatic areas approved for the next quadrennium - Climate and Economic Justice; Youth, Peace, and Security - Peacebuilding; Democracy, Human Rights, and Fundamentalisms; Identity, Diversity, Dialogue, and Gender Justice; and Youth Ecumenical Leadership - Together with the strategies that will be implemented cutting across our programs; Biblical Theological Reflection; Youth Mobilization and Participation; Advocacy and Solidarity; Capacity Building and Strengthening of Movements.

In light of the recent developments in the occupied territory of Palestine, marked by violence against civilians by an armed group that breached the fence that separated the Gaza of southern Israel and the declaration of a "State of War" by Israel that has escalated the violence, the World Student Christian Federation (WSCF) issues this public statement.
In the name of the Lord, we joyfully announce the triumphant conclusion of the 32nd Biennial Conference of the Student Christian Movement of Nigeria, themed “RAISING SONS OF ISSACHAR” (1 Chronicles 12:32). This four-day spiritual gathering took place from August 31st to September 3rd, 2023 at the esteemed John R. Mott Center in Port Harcourt and we were profoundly blessed by divine intervention throughout.

“Envisioning Ecumenical Youth Advocacy and Solidarity in the 21st Century: Human Rights, Gender Justice and Leadership Engagement”
Jakarta, Indonesia, 13-23 July 2023
Under the theme “Envisioning Ecumenical Youth Advocacy and Solidarity in the 21st Century”, the World Student Christian Federation held a global event from 13 to 23 July 2023 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Organised by the Interregional office of the WSCF, the Regional Office of WSCF Asia Pacific Region and the Student Christian Movement of Indonesia GMKI, this event held four different activities:
- Staff and Officers Meeting
- International Seminar on Human Rights and Fundamentalisms
- Gender Sensitivity Workshop
- Regional Committee of WSCF Asia Pacific Region
The “empty tomb” is the foundation of our hope for a just world. Easter, then, is the celebration of hope in a world that is increasingly becoming hopeless. Hope for a better and just world is the special privilege of the poor and the marginalised. The Cross was Jesus identification with the struggles of the oppressed and the Resurrection, its vindication.

WSCF Statement in Solidarity with Peru

Peru is experiencing an escalation of violence carried out by the coup d'état of Dina Boluarte. Since the dismissal of Pedro Castillo as President of Peru on December 7, the people have taken the streets demanding new elections, the resignation of the current government, the Constituent Assembly and the release of Castillo.
